There has been a very good start to the year from the students in the first three junior foundation events. Garen Niemand made the playoffs at both George Golf Club and Mossel Bay Golf Club and Daniel Abraham made the playoff at Knysna Golf Club.
Garen’s return to Mossel Bay was impressive because the week before he shot a score in the mid 80’s, he changed his course strategy and scored a very credible 72. Daniel’s 68 at Knysna was the lowest competitive score he has shot and it’s fantastic to watch his continued progress.
Young Kyle Barker started his Junior Foundation career in the Southern Cape in fine style by shooting two better than his handicap when he played the George Golf Club tournament.
