Jan Fourie Biokineticist
|
Jan is an Accountant who decided that his passion and life direction was in a different field. He returned to studying and in 2003 graduated with a B Sc Human Movement Science with Honours in Biokinetics. Jan worked in private practice in Fourways, Johannesburg for 6 years before moving to KeNako Academy in George. During this time he has enjoyed great results in the rehabilitation of patients. Over the years Jan has worked with a variety of athletes from different sporting disciplines, including being responsible for the conditioning of a martial arts World Champion. He loves the outdoors, and prefers to extend the treatment and conditioning of his clients to outdoor activities, instead of being limited to the gym. With KeNako Academy being situated in George, it offers mountains, forests, beaches and other open spaces where Jan can live out this passion. Jan has worked as sports coach and counselor on a Summer Camp in Pennsylvania, USA (1999) and loves working with groups, doing workshops and seminars. He believes very strongly in seeing a client not only as a physical being, but to give attention to every aspect of the person (psychological, emotional and social) in working with them. And that is what KeNako Academy is all about. |
