Swiss National and KeNako Academy golfer Mike Saxer teed off in the IGT Chase To #18 Modderfontein on Monday, 8 February. The 18-year-year-old golfer enjoyed a great second round, shooting 3 under par 69. It was the first time he made the cut in an IGT tournament. On the final day Mike’s 78 saw him finish tied 34th. Mike stated that it was a tough day, but overall a rewarding experience. It is wonderful to see you putting yourself out there, continue with your passion and determination Mike!
“It was a great experience. It was very interesting to compare myself to the members of the IGT Tour and the Sunshine Tour. It gave me a clear indication on where I am at with my game compared to the professionals, and that I‘m heading in the right direction with the work I‘m doing on the course with Head Golf Coach Roger, Short Game Expert Carlo Kok and also in the gym with Aidan Boon.” Mike Saxer
