Mariette Le Roux
Mariette is highly qualified and extensively experienced in the field of Clinical and Educational Psychology. Since moving with her family to George 8 years ago, Mariette has established a very successful private practice, focusing on Clinical Psychology. Mariette is also a lecturer at the local campus of the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU). In addition, she forms part of a learning support team for both Outeniqua Primary and Outeniqua High Schools.
Before moving to George Mariette had practiced as a Psychologist in Pretoria. Amongst other elements of interest she was an active participant on a radio talk show as contributing psychologist. After graduating from university Mariette had also spent some time teaching.
Her special fields of interest are sport, adolescents and rehabilitation psychology. As Psychologist she has become well-known for her work with both parents and children to live a balanced and truthful life, using love, trust and discipline as a foundation. She performs both evaluations and individual psychotherapy for scholastic and emotional problems. These evaluations include aspects relating to Learning Problems (e.g. study methods, subject and career choices); Intellectual and Aptitude Abilities; and Emotional Problems (e.g. adjustment and personality disorder).
Mariette le Roux is the Clinical, Educational and Sport Motivation Psychologist to KeNako Sport Academy. Besides her work with the students Mariette is involved in the KeNako Executive Program coordinated by NEUROCARE. |
