Matthew Sutherland’s Star on the Rise
Matthew Sutherland, a student at the KeNako Golf Academy, won the Southern Cape Closed played at Plettenberg Bay Golf Club on 5th September 2009. This is by far the most important win in Matthew’s young career and a tribute to his dedication and desire to be a future career golfer. Matthew managed to hole a 20 foot birdie putt on the 36th hole to win by a single stroke from the defending champion Eduan du Plessis from the Knysna Golf Club. Matthew recorded an impressive total of 3 under par, with rounds of 71 and 70. |
