Southern Cape Business League
KeNako launched their first Business League in May 2009. They ended the year very successfully with 12 Teams. The teams had to fight for every point and in the end the KeNako Academy Invitation Team beat the Heunis, Botha & Wiggett and pipped the Oubaai Real Estate Teams to the title.
This has become an incredible networking opportunity for all businesses in the Garden Route and KeNako will once again host guests from Johannesburg to be regular participants in 2010. We invite you to bring your guests along to join us as well.
We look forward to welcoming back our 2009 Teams and trust they will take up the challenge to assist us in growing our Business League in 2010 and to take on the winners! KeNako's Southern Cape Business League launched on Thursday 28th May, the first round played at Oubaai Golf Club.
The intention is to host a total of 14 teams in the league for 2009. Companies will play in a team format, with 4 players selected to represent the company for each match. Since part of the Business League strategy is to mix and meet with as many high profile business executives as possible, companies are encouraged to invite different clients to represent their team at each event. It is anticipated that during the 7 months of the Business League a total of over 100 different executives will have participated in the league.
Although golf is the conduit around which the Business League is being played, the days will not just be about golf. There are 4 distinct parts to each Business League day.

Part 1: The league matches between companies. In each match a total 6 games will be played, comprising 4 Singles matches and 2 Betterball matches. The winning team receives 2 points on the log, a tie will see each team receiving 1 point whilst a loss will earn 0 points.
Part 2: At the end of each day's play, two companies will have the opportunity to make a short presentation about their company and their goods and services.
Part 3: The company presentations will be followed by some golf related instruction by one of the KeNako professionals. This may involve Roger Wessels and some golf related instruction; or Sandra Winter and some instruction linked to the importance of physical conditioning or perhaps key aspects relating to the golf swing and the body; or Steven Buhr and some psychological thoughts that may assist in improving one's golf game or perhaps improving an individual's attitude to the game of golf.
Part 4: A 10 hole (question) team quiz will end the day's proceedings. Since the intention is to enjoy a fun-filled but interactive day, the team quiz will add bonus points to the points won by each team on the golf course. A team scoring 10 out of 10 will earn a full 1 point bonus, whilst
a team scoring say 4 out of 10 will receive a 0,4 point bonus for the day etc.
