Young Nicola Gerhardsen can be proud of his performance at the Omega European Masters. Nicola scored rounds of 72 and 71 and despite missing the cut, he performed admirably. There have not been too many 16 year olds who have qualified to play in a European Tour event. Well played Nicola. Robert Foley had two rounds of 74.
40 Players made the cut at 2 over par 146 in the Vodacom Origins – Arabella. Heinrich Bruiners finished best of the KeNako Academy old boys, scoring a final round 72 to finish 14th. Cameron Moralee finished 21st in his first Sunshine Tour event, with Franklin Manchest 36th.
KeNako Academy Head Golf Coach Roger Wessels managed to get in a game with 2 of the Southern Cape IPT players, Caylum Boon and Hans-Jurie Human. Roger would like to wish the players and the Southern Cape Team all the best in the next week’s IPT tournament at Oubaai Golf Estate.

Aidan Boon won his second consecutive Southern Cape Open title, this time in partnership with Ben van Wyk.
They won the Southern Cape Foursomes tournament played at Oubaai Golf Course. Their 1st round 8 under par 64 was outstanding and put them comfortably in the lead. The 2nd round conditions worsened significantly, with the wind getting very strong accompanied by rain. Well played Ben and Aidan
